Don’t Unfriend All Those Who Disagree

It has been quite the election season. The whole country seems on edge. Families all over this great country of ours are splitting down the middle and then there is the posts on Facebook.

Many of you simply unfriend, or if you are a total weakling you just unfollow, anyone who has a different outlook the you do.

Don’t.

I don’t think you should try and argue with people online either, but not seeing the other points of view makes you close minded, apathetic, privileged, and egotistical.

Close minded

If all you see are the things on Facebook that you emotionally agree with, then you are robbing yourself from ever expanding your ideas. Just by reading something from a differing point of view will expand your mind a little bit. You might need to see the counter argument more to make you set in your beliefs.

Apathetic

Walking around ignoring the world around you, especially the opposing points of views, will make one completely comfortable with his or her life and won’t try to ensure change.

Privileged

Sometime those other points of views make you feel uncomfortable. Maybe it’s because you are hearing voices that never had voices before. Ignoring and blocking those points of view is privileged.

Egotistical

Just thinking you’re right all the time just makes you an insufferable piece of shit. Even those of you that I agree with make me sick with your fucking soap box.

-most of the links that are shared aren’t true

-most of the links posted are biased due to the click bait demographics they are trying to attract.

-the sites get money for clicks, so they can make real insane headlines and come to find out there is nothing but speculation and opinion.

-they are being shared by your emotional response and  it from any sense of duty or facts, just the same emotional response one gets for their football team.

-spending time arguing, posting links on to Facebook just make you a real boing piece of shit.
