Rock & Roll Is For The Kids

Rock & Roll use to be dangerous. Parents formed groups to try and stop satanism and censor the vulgarity of rock. They blamed rock on the decline of western civilization.

It isn’t dangerous anymore. It is just a matter of fact. Parents are bringing their kids to rock & roll camps so that their little tykes can learn to shred.

Kids have to act conservative and boring to earn the ire of their parents. No more is the piercing of body parts are tattooing skulls going to freak a parent out. No, just shitty top 40 pop music can do that.

Wanna freak out your parents? Like BeyoncĂ© or Kanye West. It is boring, safe, and it doesn’t challenge anything.

The problem with rock & roll being friend zoned is that kids aren’t going to be counted on to put up a fight. No, the kids want to protect the status quo because it is comfortable and safe. They didn’t have rock & roll to teach them to be dangerous and daring.

There are a lot of maps out there that says what would happen if only men voted or only women voted. These are just what if situations. The reality is that if the 18 – 35 year olds don’t show up to vote for either candidate, Trump will win the presidency. The kids who don’t rock & roll just would rather stay home and chill as they say.

Polls suggest that most 18 – 35 year olds are staying home because either their socialist messiah Bernie didn’t get nominated or just doesn’t give a fuck either way, they just don’t want to vote. That missing chunk of voters give the old people, the ones who rock & rolled to Lynard Skynard and Theodore Q. Nugent.

The stats say everything: the kids don’t fuck, don’t smoke cigarettes, don’t do drugs, don’t commit the petty crimes the precious three generations did, and they don’t rock & roll.

Rock & roll taught to question the society norm. It gave us an outlet to find our voices when the rest of the world seemed heavy. Rock & roll got is in the streets. Now only the old people with their Bob Dylan or REO Speedwagon records are dictating the discourse of this society while the kids ignore the rock & roll and reach for binary intimacy via social media.

Learn to rock & roll. Learn to rebel. Learn to be the thorn in your parents back. Scare the adults. Make them believe that if they aren’t careful, you might rise against the machine, destroying everything and creating scorched earth. Don’t let them see you the cute docile consumer pieces of shit you are, let them see fear personified. Let them see the very fabric of their society threatened to burn under your rock & roll valued.

Let’s watch the whole world burn.

The kids aren’t alright.
