Magical Hand Gestures
When performing magic, there is a lot that goes into delivering the spell. There is the naming of the spell, the components that make up the spell, and finally, the hand gesture that points the spell toward the intended target.
Every day, hand gestures are from the days of magic when the old ones roamed the earth. We believe these hand gestures mean certain things, but they were once a powerful magical language.

The OK sign means everything is fine. No worries here. Don’t worry about anything, because it’s been taken care of.
It used to be a ward to ward off those who meant harm. By facing the circled fingers towards the person below the waist, you were given divine permission to punch the person.
This is similar to ‘OK’ but mostly about your person being OK, not the situation. It usually refers to your health or situation.
In the old magical days, the thumbs up meant that you thought the person’s achievement was mediocre at best, and the thumbs up instilled the idea that they don’t deserve any reward, but you are pointing your thumb toward heaven to mock the poor soul’s meager existence.
Putting your hand up at the end of your outstretched hand is meant to signal ‘stop’. If a person is approaching your present position and sees your outstretched hand, they will stop if they are a civilized person.
This flat handout used to be a fireball launching gesture. This is why people still flinch when you put your hand out like that.
The point is either to help someone understand the direction you mention, the exact position of the object you are referring to, or to show a fun acknowledgment of someone.
This used to shoot electricity, or lightning, from your finger. This also marked people with hexes when, after saying the curse, you hit them with it like you were shooting a pistol.
The bird. This is common in traffic situations when one driver is unhappy with another driver’s decision-making.
This used to be the gesture of death. The middle finger from an outstretched hand meant sudden death for those who heard the right magical word uttered. Nowadays, a middle finger thrown at you will literally stop your heart for 0.00376834 seconds.
This is the palm out number two fingers. This means peace.
This used to mean a vexing person. A curse for you to them. This is giving someone bad luck forever. This is itchy, dry skin, razor rashes, water heaters not working correctly, buses arriving too early or cancelled, red eye in every picture, drawn into pointless Facebook arguments that you lose, sharing your pants at the beginning of your work shift, and many more incidents that make your life miserable, but do not make you a victim. Or it is a Roman soldier ordering five fiverinks.
This is the number two, but with knuckles out. This is a European bird, or it means victory.
In the sorcerer days, this gesture was a way to make the person forget what they were trying to say, so they found they were unable to express their opinions and feelings at all.
This is violent or a sign of solidarity.
This rocks.
Putting your hand out with your palm up means you would like something placed on it—preferably money.
This was the way a wizard would coax a soul out of a person and right into the wizard’s body to create everlasting youth.
The Italian, when expressing emotion, usually uses this hand gesture. This is how others can tell that you have enjoyed a spicy meatball.
In ancient times, the spicy meatball was a way to quiet the mind, making it straightforward so it could seek knowledge. Now, most people are trying as hard as they can to seek knowledge; they are also seeking entertainment or emotional validation, so the hand gesture only gives the brain a brief, honest desire to know more, which is quickly forgotten.
Shocker
Meaning someone gross, but a cool-looking hand gesture that sometimes looks like Spider-Man’s web shooting gesture.
This used to mean a double penny toss in a pink crevice, and one is placed in a stink. Magic ensues.
The sign of the beast, 666, rock & roll! This is the most esoteric of all the hand gestures.
This created a sludgy, crunchy crunch that repeats itself several times and can only be enjoyed in copious amounts of marijuana. This is a great spell to put someone in a daze and make them not at all interested in anything new.
Similar to the ram’s head but with the thumb out, this is all about love.
In the times of magic, this hand gesture brought darkness to the target. They would find themselves unable to tear themselves away from watching alevery possibleV snshow
