Meditation for February 9th

Past Lives

Everything is a circle, including life. We are born, we live, we make babies, we die, and then we are reborn. We come back with little or no memory of our past lives. We feel deja vu, as if we’re reminded of things that never happened, and other people seem familiar even though we’ve never seen them before. We keep living these lives to reach our ultimate goal: to become celestial beings among the heavens. This is often called the Samsara, the Wheel of Life, and if we don’t correct the errors of our past and present, we keep coming back. Some mediums will tell who and what we used to be. Sometimes it just comes to us.

One of the overlooked responsibilities of knowing who or what you were in your past lives is the fact that you probably owe amends. It’s fun to find out you were a queen or king, but did you know that to be a king or queen meant you had to do horrible things? Were you Martin Luther, nailing your thesis to the Cathedral door? It caused war, marginalized others, and created the modern anti-semitic sentiment, which led to the holocaust. Whoever you were, I promise you were a horrible person who needs to make amends for your wrongdoings.

Meditate on who or what you may have been. Study the history of your mistakes and try to fix those mistakes now. Remember that if you were royalty or had a title, you had to demand taxes and enslaved people. This is in all cultures. Maybe you were a parasite living off another life. Maybe you were a dolphin who are the bros of the sea in the way they are mean and have a natural inclination to rape. Even a snail has to eat beautiful flowers to survive. You owe the world a goddamned apology. No matter how you live or lived, you have to fuck over others to do so.

After this life, you will become someone else. If karma is real, then living as a good person means you come back as a more enlightened being. Still, if you’re living your life ruining other people’s lives by putting people down, not sharing your cheesy bacon tots, taking your dates to fondue restaurants, or enjoying golf, you will come back as a less enlightened animal.

Clean up your life, or you’ll come back as a Kardashian/Jenner spouse.

Prayer

Elephant-Headed Player From Kashmir,
let me know who I used to be,
and alter the present to change the future for what my past life did in the past,
Got a Dead Yogi Who Lived On A Mountain Top Before My 7th Life Was Born,
May I learn what I need to learn?
to come back more enlightened.
May I come back as smart as I pretended to be on Facebook?
May come back like Matt Damon’s character in Good Will Hunting,
But maybe look more like Drake.
Monkey King,
maybe I can just once,
so I won’t worry about what I might come back as.
God forbid I come backas a hipster’s pet rabbit.
Amen.

Craft

Here are some ways to find out what you were in your past lives.
Meditate
Consult a psychic
See a hypnotherapist
Have your tarot card read witha  focus on your past lives
Ask a dirty hippy
Ask someone who looks Hindu – especially if they are a stranger on a bus, because your personality won’t sway them. The secret is to ask aggressively three times.
The most accurate way is fill out an online quiz.

Goal

The important thing to take away from all of this is that you ruined history and have a lot of work to repair the damage you have caused. One reason the world seems hostile and unable to break the terrible cycle of repeating history is that people won’t address their life stresses.
What did you do? How do you repair it? What minority group do you need to address face-to-face to correct your wrongs?
