Meditation for February 16th
Symbols
Religions and spiritual movements have used symbols to help mortals look into the celestial world. People use tarot cards, palm readings, horoscopes, tea leaves, and raccoon innards to communicate with the other side. Runes and the letters of our own alphabet have strong ties to other meanings.
These symbols are everywhere in our daily lives; we have to look for them. We can make decisions about what to do with our lives by simply being open to the symbols the Gods and Goddesses place before us. Did you make it to the intersection when the walk sign was flashing, or did you have to wait through the orange hand, or did you have to run across the street because the hand was blinking when you started, but had to jump out of the way of a speeding El Camino? All of these mean different things and will affect the outcome of your journey.
A little-known fact is that people in marketing and advertising place symbols throughout their ads. All a person has to do is read into them. If you are facing indecision, open up a Maxim magazine, pay attention to billboards, or listen to the radio, and visualize the advertisements, seeing the symbols. We can divine our future this way. Understanding the meaning of these symbols requires extensive research and study.
The entire McDonald’s campaign uses the Egyptian pictograph alphabet, and if you play them all at once, Ra would resurface and burn the earth. I know I’ve been eating a lot more McDonald’s lately.
Next time you walk or drive around, look for the symbols around you and try to interpret them to help you see your future.

let me know my future in this shitty job,
by the billboards I stare at as I am stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic, listening to FM classic rock.
Let the ads I hear about engagement rings, reverse mortgages, nd Target guide me in my decision on whether I should break up or ask to marry.

Craft
As you go out through your day, put your own symbol on walls, trees, backs of cars, nd on the backs of people.
This way, other people can find symbols to guide their own lives. You can be someone’s Urban Shaman.
Goal
Look between the lines. Look at the space between spaces. Look at the world behind the world. Look for the symbols to help bring you in concert with the universe.
