Crossroads

Robert Johnson met a tall dark stranger who exchanged blues fame for his everlasting soul at a crossroad. This is the most famous story of crossroads, but crossroads are anywhere that the fabric between reality and the supernatural is thin.

Magic

When performing any spell, one must either practice it at a crossroad. A crossroad can be an intersection, the time between day & night, a time between seasons, the edge of a forest or anywhere that two worlds meet.

If one can not be at a crossroad, one must create a crossroad within the spell itself. This is where runes and other symbols weaken the veil of dimensions, alters and using herbs and other materials to make a line in the ground.

Like most horror movie plots, one must be careful of thinning the light of our present plane, for not just the spirits of your convenience is on the other side, but other more sinister things too.

Making deals

Demons and Angels alike can become fully realized to our senses at crossroads, and like politicians, they are always putting mortals against each other and against the other.

One way they do this is promising something for the return of something else, for the demons and Angels eat souls, which from earlier meditations we know that souls are just our time lines, so they like to eat brighter souls.

Be wary when anyone tries to tell you that you are special, very talented, should be famous, or anything that is better than you really are. When they promise to help you realize those dreams, you maybe dealing with a celestial. Now see angel hunting blog for pointers.

Sometimes we are tired and we are just existing. We don’t necessarily want to die, but we are very uninterested in life. We can ask for help. We can brighten our lives and the lives of others by makin a deal.

Help

We can also find spirits and Devils to come into our plane of existence and help us. Just by creating a portal for the imp to crawl through, but imbued by possession magic, so that the creature will follow your commands.

You can bring golems alive to kill those that mocked you, you can command imps to make a person you don’t like have a real annoying day, you could find a good size djinn to grant you wishes or a demon to grant you talent and skill without the promise of an everlasting soul.

Careful, spirits and Devils have very long memories. They will never be happy that they helped a mortal. They will resent you and if they are ever able to find a way into your world without any constraints, they are going to get your soul.

Scrying

The thin fabrics at crossroads are also a way to see the future, present & past at the same time. That other plane is outside of our linear time existence and looks down at time like a Goodyear blimp looks down at a football game, but able to see every play and the outcome at the same time.

Being able to peer into or walk into the other side require some natural psychic abilities. Especially climbing into the dimension of time itself to watch what happens as it happened and never happened. An angel my see you and confuse you for a soul and eat you.

Just digging a little into the floor with some reality thinning magic can give you a peephole into the future.

Crystals are also great tools for scrying, for looking through a crystal allows you to see all the worlds at once.

New beginnings

Before making any huge change in your life or after getting through a huge ordeal, walk through a crossroad to symbolize a new beginning. If you don’t, you will be bringing whatever you used to be with you. Your old job, ex-partner, old living situation. This is how everything becomes new again, by walking through crossroads.
